Feeding ducks, geese, swans, and other waterfowl is a topic of great debate among birders, conservationists, and city officials. There are many bird feeding myths related to ducks, including the idea that feeding the birds will stop their migration.
It happens all too often in the late season, as the cold temps start to show up day after day, and then a warm spell hits. The geese seem to have their own ideas as to what times of the day they want to feed and many hunters are left guessing as to when they should set up and either end up staring at clear skies until they are frozen solid or show up to a field already full of geese already ... I know this is way early, but i wanna be prepared. What are goose nesting needs and habits? We had geese in the past but i never paid much attention to them because they weren't mine. i did have to help one pair when hatching time came, she just nested under the chicken coop with old straw and feathers.
